Hieronymus Mueller Museum Offering New Public Tours Second Saturdays at 2pm

For the first time ever, the Hieronymus Mueller Museum will be offering staff-guided tours for the public.
These will be the Second Saturdays of February and March at 2pm.

  • Saturday, February 8 at 2pm
  • Saturday, March 8 at 2pm

The guided tours will be approximately 45-minutes. During that time, we’ll explore how Hieronymus Mueller, his family, and the company he founded impacted the water and gas industries, and the community of Decatur and beyond.

Tickets will be $5/person, available first-come, first-served at the door on the day of the tour. Space is limited.

“Museum staff have offered guided tours for privately scheduled groups for years, but we want to extend that invitation to everyone,” says Museum Director, Katherine Unruh. “This is a new, rare opportunity to explore the exhibit with museum staff.”

The Hieronymus Mueller Museum is owned and operated by a private non-profit organization, the Hieronymus Mueller Family Foundation. It tells the story of Hieronymus Mueller, his family, and the company he founded: which continues to impact our lives today.

The museum is located near downtown Decatur, at 420 W. Eldorado Street, in Decatur, IL. To get to the museum from Decatur, go north on Route 51 and turn left onto Eldorado Street/U.S. 36. The museum will be on your right. Plenty of free parking is available.
