Hieronymus Mueller Museum Offering Free Admission to Jumpstart Planning for New Exhibit
Central Illinois residents and visitors are invited to explore the Hieronymus Mueller Museum free of charge this summer! The museum is offering free admission to anyone who completes a short survey about their visit during May, June, and July 2023.
With plans to update its 2,000 square foot permanent exhibit in the next few years, the museum is seeking feedback from visitors about the current exhibit.
“The current exhibit has served the museum well over the past 20 years,” says Museum Director, Katherine Unruh, “but it’s time for a refresh. We want to collect feedback on what you like best and least about the current displays, and what you’d like to see in an updated version.”
You do not need to be familiar with the Hieronymus Mueller Museum or Mueller Company in order to provide feedback. “First-time visitors are especially encouraged to visit!” says Unruh. “As museum staff, we see the exhibit every day. We need your fresh perspective!”
During their visit, survey participants can choose to enter a drawing for a giveaway prize: the Hieronymus Mueller Museum will be giving away one $250 Visa Gift Card. The museum will select the winner at random in August.
Admission to the museum is typically $2 for adults and $1 for those age 17 and under. That cost will be waived for anyone who completes a short, 9-question survey providing their feedback on the current exhibit. Admission is always free year-round for all Mueller Company employees and retirees.
The Hieronymus Mueller Museum tells the story of Hieronymus Mueller, his family, and the company he founded. The museum is located near downtown Decatur, at 420 W. Eldorado Street, Decatur, IL.
